A decommissioned oil container and pipes must be drained of oil and cleaned by an operator approved by TUKES. The operator will issue a written certificate of the cleaning, which is required before the container can be delivered to scrap metal recovery (metal container). You are not allowed to carry out the cleaning yourself. In exceptional cases, an underground cleaned container can be left in the ground by the permission of an environmental authority.
