We take the following waste free of charge
- sorted recoverable waste (metal, glass and paperboard packaging, paper)
- household electrical appliances (e.g. refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, cookers, small electrical appliances)
- hazardous household waste, aside from waste oil batches of over 200 litres
- rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries
- fluorescent and compact fluorescent lamps
- car tyres (including rims)
A fee is charged for these types of waste
Waste stations accept mixed waste batches of less than 4 cubic metres.

How do I pay at a waste station?
You can pay at waste centres with the jateasemat.fi app, debit and credit cards. You can also pay by invoice, without an invoicing surcharge. Please be prepared to prove your identity if you pay by invoice. You cannot pay in cash at waste stations.
During self-service hours at the Vuores waste station, only payments made with the jateasemat.fi app are accepted.
