Sort the following as garden waste
- leaves and raked waste
- tops of root vegetables and grasses
- apples
- brushwood
Sort brushwood and apples from garden waste when bringing it to the waste centers.
Where can I take it?
To the Koukkujärvi and Tarastenjärvi waste centres for free (a trailer load)
Small amounts you can put into the biowaste bin.
Remember then:
- Pack apples like the other biowaste.
- Cut twigs into short pieces.
- Do not fill the bin with apples. It should not weigh more than 60 kg.
How is garden waste recycled?
- In waste centers the garden waste is composted and utilised.
- When composted at home you’ll get nutritious soil.
