Sort the following into large objects

• furniture
• toilet seats, sinks
• mattresses, mats, carpets
• protective covers, tent canopies
• snow shovels and large shovels

Waste is considered large if it does not fit into a waste bin.

Where can I take it?

Take large objects to the Koukkujärvi or Tarastenjärvi waste centre. Load the waste in such a way that it is easy to unload and sort at the waste reception site.

How are large objects recycled?

Furniture, mattresses, mats and snow shovels are regarded as mixed waste for the purposes of the waste reception fee. Bulky objects are crushed and re-used as material or energy. Materials such as porcelain, which are not recyclable as energy or a material, and are not harmful to the environment, are disposed of.
