Waste management and the coronavirus
Waste management is guaranteed also under exceptional circumstances, and we are taking care of the health of our customers and employees while adhering to official guidelines. We are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will keep you posted on this page of any changes.
At the moment, waste management is operating almost normally. Visitor groups are not accepted for the time being and our customer service point is closed at the office Kelloportinkatu 1.

Whenever visiting our waste station or waste centre:

- Wash your hands often.
- Cough and sneeze into a sleeve or handkerchief.
- Do business quickly.
- Prefer the jateasemat.fi application when paying.
- Stay home if you are ill.
Waste bin emptying
Waste bins are emptied normally. Now that we spend a lot of time at home and create more waste than normally, remember to sort your waste and pack it tightly.
Emptying of cess pools and septic tanks
Cess pools and septic tanks are emptied normally. Orders preferably by email or through our online service.
Customer service
Our customer service point in the office (Kelloportinkatu 1) is closed. Please use our electronic services, email, chat and online services.
Waste sorting and packaging
Put the disposable mask directly in the mixed waste bin after use or the reusable fabric mask in a plastic bag or directly in the washing machine.
We encourage everyone to sort their household waste. Sorting and compact packaging have a big impact on the smoothness of waste management.
Repsikka waste collection from homes
Repsikka currently only picks up items that have been taken out.
Happenings and waste consulting
Visitor groups are not accepted for the time being in Tammervoima or waste centres.
