Most cosmetic products, such as make-ups and skin care products, are mixed waste after their expiration date.
Perm products, aerosol cans still containing remnants (for instance hair spray, deodorant), nail polish and nail polish removers are hazardous waste. Hazardous waste also includes perfumes, aftershaves and other substances containing alcohol. Products like these must be taken to a hazardous waste reception point.
