Railway sleepers, telephone and utility poles and pieces of them are impregnated with creosote, making them hazardous waste. Small batches of max. 1.5 m pieces are accepted at Waste Stations/Centres. Entire poles and large batches must be delivered directly to Kestopuu’s recycling terminal in Tuulos, see www.kestopuu.fi.
