Silver polish is hazardous waste. Here’s an ecological tip for polishing silver: Place your silverware into a dish lined with aluminium foil and pour in enough warm water to cover the items. Mix in a handful of table salt. Let sit for a while. Rinse. You can also use baking powder instead of salt.
